Faculty In Residence and Faculty Fellow Support Services

Faculty Living-Learning Programs supports faculty-in-residence and faculty and community fellows in the North Campus residence halls for first-year students. These faculty create a supportive environment that fosters academic and intellectual learning, personal development, well-being, and a sense of belonging. 

Conference and Event Services provides event planning services for Faculty Living-Learning Programs on and off campus. To request support, faculty-in-residence should submit a Faculty Program Support Request Form.

Common support tasks could include:

  • Order food, supplies, etc.

  • Book tours and secure tickets for on and off-campus events

  • Reserve fleet vehicles, set up taxi/Uber/Lyft service, or rent busses with drivers

  • Process Procurement Card (PCard) receipts, Wegmans purchases, reimbursement forms, interdepartmental charges, etc.

  • Perform initial research on possible events that FIRs or fellows have identified (how much in advance to book, availability, costs, location, etc.)

  • Provide marketing support for events, such as:

    • Create marketing materials for events (posters and flyers) for both print and electronic usage

    • Print and deliver posters

    • Create Campus Group events

    • Post to buildings’ social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

Other service tasks could include:

  • Reserve rooms

  • Set up or A/V support requests

  • Coordinate restaurant meals off campus (making reservations, arranging payment, etc.)

  • Infrequently and with prior notice, provide day-of support for special events

Marketing support for all events:

  • Create marketing materials for events (posters and flyers) for both print and electronic usage 
  • Create Campus Group events 
  • Send electronic materials to FIR 
  • Posting to buildings’ social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)  
  • Print posters  
  • Hang print posters in the pre-determined locations in the residence halls
     

Faculty Living-Learning Programs will be responsible for:

  • Travel for guests
  • Guest reimbursements/honorariums
  • Film rights
